Our Inspiration
“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in me through their word; that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.” (John 17:20-21)
CONVERGE was inspired by Jesus’ prayer in John 17 that his disciples be “one.” Thus, the goal of CONVERGE is to bring together those who believe in Jesus and
We all come from different backgrounds, but we are inspired by the way that Jesus loved people and desired to minister and break bread together.
CONVERGE is a time to recognize agreement upon the one God as the central foundation of our faith together and to love each other as Jesus gave us an example to follow (John 13:34-35).
Celebrating God Together
CONVERGE isn’t a conference, it’s a celebration—a festival in honor of our God. To that end, it is family-oriented and filled with food, fun, and lots of fellowship.
A united group of believers in the one God representing several distinct churches and ministries are working together to create an event that will foster the unity we are to have as followers of Christ. Belief in one God is affirming the Father as the one and only true God, and Jesus Christ as God’s human Messiah and divinely-conceived son.
Our purpose is to bring together believers in one God for mutual encouragement and spiritual growth, for the opportunity to connect with other fellow believers of like faith, and to celebrate God and His Messiah in a festival atmosphere.
The name CONVERGE represents the heart of this event as it means “to come together and unite in a common interest or focus.”
CONVERGE isn’t a church or ministry but a time and place for one-God believers to meet together to worship Him! CONVERGE provides an avenue by which believers from various different groups and backgrounds of faith in the one God can come together alongside each other for a common purpose.
While each group has unique distinctions in various aspects of their faith, we hold a common faith in God and His son Jesus that is special and worth celebrating together!
